I have been counting - stitches, rows and my blessings. Knitting is a good way to count blessings and I am thankful for all the good things in my life.
My Girasole blanket is almost done and I shall start another soon!
My mother was a beautiful knitter and I have wonderful memories of us knitting the afternoons away while the babies slept.
Neither of my cameras wants to capture this color called violin. It sort of a cross between a Manhattan (straight up, of course), a well worn leather chair, paprika and an old violin. I love the names of the colors. The shawl I shall start this summer will be knit in "eternal diva".
When one counts their blessings some of the other "stuff" gets put into perspective and doesn't matter as much.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Love, love, love this. So beautiful and a gorgeous color.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and I am sure soothing work.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Carol, The shawl is stunning. You did a fabulous job. My mothers was also a knitter, I struggle with it when I do. Take care, Jen.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty pattern and you make the color sound as wonderful as it looks to me.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely beautiful Carol, I'm in awe:@)
ReplyDeleteWords of wisdom, Carol. LOVE the color and names of colors!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhen I knit I sometimes think that I knit equal measures of laughter and tears into a piece, by the time it's finished.
Gorgeous knitting! That is the only thing I have never tried! I should take a class and learn. My dauther Amber knew how and made me many treasures!

Donna
