My Home

I like to look around my home. Each piece of furniture, each painting and everything else have a meaning or a purpose. I don't think it is of any particular style except maybe eclectic but not even that term applies. I have collected and I have bought both old and new. I have pieces from my parents and their parents and then a collection reflecting downsizing from 2 homes. As Jack would say I have "stuff". I love my stuff. I will be adding pictures as I go along with the new page feature at Blogger. It took me a while to figure it out but it is not really that difficult.

From the time I was a little girl, I loved to play house. Setting the table, arranging the flowers, planning the menu - were all things I loved to do. Even today we eat by candlelight at a pretty table.

When Jack and I got married, he said he would buy me flowers every week! And he does while we are in Florida. In Maine, there is always something in the garden to pick.

Sometimes I use silk flowers. I like the ones from Pottery Barn.

I don't have a large home. However, the storage is more than acceptable with 3 walk-in closets. They are periodically rearranged and purged. I like the look of organized clutter. My table is usually set except when I want the bare look of the wood.

Lovely home reflecting good taste and serenity. Three walk-in closets means just one thing to me...I'm so jealous! I like your clock and oil lamps...they just seem to go together, don't they? You always set a beautiful table!
