Happy Birthday to me.......




A few years back I started celebrating my birthday for the whole month of June. There were several reasons which I am unable to recall.... But it really works for me now.


Last year I upgraded my camera thinking that my pictures would automatically be much better. Some of them were.

After much research and e-mailing back and forth with some of my blogging friends, I decided on a 50mm lens (thank you Diane aka the Blue Ridge Gal). I have been playing for 2 days.



I love to take pictures of flowers and food. Close-ups with lots of detail are my favorites. Cropping is my new best friend and I am thrilled that Picasa and Picnik now work together.

    Happy Birthday to you x 30!!!!! I, too, celebrate (in January) for an entire month. I have three dear friends who share the same birthday and we all celebrate for a month. Now we are talking about having celebrations in June as well because of the nicer weather. Do you think that might be overdoing it?

    The photos are wonderful. I need to work on my camera skills asap!

    I sang Happy Birthday, be glad you can't hear me. LOL. a great idea to have it all month. hubby and I decide what we want for our BD and go get it and i love it. i always have a list, but he could not get what i wanted and I can't get his airplanes for him.

    Happy Happy Birthday Carol. I don't dare say anything about celebrating all month long to my grandson or he would want to do that. We are celebrating his 12th today. His birthday is actually tomorrow, but it fit everybody schedule today. Younger generation. You have a very good month and I love your pictures. Your Missouri Friend.

    Hi Carol, As my birthday is also in June it is an excellent month. I too purchased a new lens, but I got a 60 mm macro. Great shots, love the composition. Happy Birthday my friend.
