I am an Etsy fan. As I have worked on my hexagon quilt, I have used Etsy for fabric. During one of my shopping expeditions (when not playing with Pinterest or Angry Birds....), I came across TygerLily. What caught my eye was the fabric she used to make her desk set. This French Journal fabric is one that I am using in my quilt and an absolute favorite. Now I will have desk accessories to match the quilt that will hang in the studio when I get back to Florida.
While we wait for the hurricane I cleaned out the garden a bit.
The marigolds and zinnias have been beautiful.
I played a bit with Picnik.
I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for another Pink Saturday. Be sure to stop in and see all the other Pinks.
And if you are in the path of this hurricane, please be safe.
I love the pink color, I love!
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful and positive as well as your flowers.
I'm Etsy fan, sometimes I buy something small:)
Kisses and nice weekend dear:)
Hi Carol, great quilts and wonderful pink flowers. You are always so busy.
ReplyDeleteIt is great that you hang your quilts what a great picture wall you must have.
Have a good weekend, keep safe, love Jackie.x
I love the quilt fabrics...and your new blog look!!!! It's fabulous! Can't wait to see the finished hexi quilt!
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought that you'd have to be concerned with a hurricane in MAINE, rather than FLORIDA? That's just crazy!
Can't wait to get you back down south, my friend.
Please be safe. Hugs to your sweet DH from me.
xoxo

Love that fabric. Stay safe in the hurricane. The interesting thing is that 40 years ago Sunday (actual date of our wedding) another big hurricane hit the northeast and some of our wedding party barely made it to the wedding due to the flooding.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments!
The fabric's gorgeous Carol and love the flowers! Be careful, hoping it's not as bad as they're predicting:@)
ReplyDeleteNice nice fabrics! Just jumps out and grabs you.
ReplyDeleteHope you are safe from the storm. I must stay away from Etsy as I can get in real trouble.
ReplyDeletePretty in Pink, the jury is still out on if I should take up Pinterest!
ReplyDeleteHPS!
ReplyDeleteLovely post and images. I am hoping that hurricane Irene turns away from the East Coast...

Carol, all that pink is gorgeous and I love the zinnias! The fabric is so pretty and things will definitely be coordinated!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for featuring your new desk set in your blog, Carol! That fabric hit my eye, too, and will have to watch your quilt come together done in the same fabrics. Your blog is beautiful and VERY cheerful!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol
ReplyDeleteLove the pink zinnias with the marigolds, wow! colour explosion.
The fabric is super, looking forward to seeing the quilt.
Stay indoors and stay safe, whilst that Irene gal is about won't you.

Thinking about you & Jack, Carol...worrying, really! I'm glad to read you're going to a location with a generator.
ReplyDeletePlease log on & let us know you're okay as soon as Irene leaves your area. The constant TV coverage is just awful here. We're seeing massive flooding. Ugh! What a mess!
I sure hope you don't have to deal with any of it. Just snuggle down & maybe do some hand sewing.
HUGS,
Rett
Thanks for sharing all your pretty pinks for Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Irene has calmed down since leaving here and that all is well with you and yours.
Stay safe.
hugs
Sissie
Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteI just read your most recent post first and am glad to know you're safe. I was watching the news earlier and it's just amazing, and sad, so many towns have been basically swept away.
Your pinks are so pretty...cute fabrics and the teapot full of flowers is just stunning!
