Finishing is a good thing.....

We are right down to the wire as we finish up packing and organizing to head back to Florida. I must remember not to bring so many projects next year as I shipped back a large box of yarn and fabric I never got to use.  However, I did make another mug mat to match the teabag holder that my friend Rett at The Gazebo House made for me. You can visit her blog here. Notice the pink flower!

A friend in South Portland taught me to make flowers. She had given me this felted hat a couple of years ago. It is fuchsia (pinky purple). I bet you can see where I am going with this....

The flower looks nice on the mug mat too. Notice the pinks in the mug mat (Kaffe fabrics).

Some projects completed!

The Fiesta cup and saucer are not pink but were the best match for the fabric.

I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for another Pink Saturday and I bet you guessed!

I had my mammogram this past week. I hope you have had yours.

Happy Pink Saturday!

You're in the trenches, too, I see. I have yet to make as neat and tidy a mug mat as you do. Love this one and the little flower is very cool.

I love the mug mat that you made and sent to me, thank you.

I had a mammogram and ultrasound on my breasts earlier in the year when I found a lump. Hopefully ladies don't wait until they are called for their three yearly mammogram
(That is what it is in the UK, what is recommended in the US?) if they find a lump, get it checked out immediately!!

I hope you have a good trip back to Florida.

Hi Carol, Yes I had my mammogram and everything is o.k.. I have enjoyed some of your previous post. Your Singer sewing machine brought back memories of sewing in my younger years. Your pictures are so neat and I hope you have a safe journey home. Take care Your Missouri Friend.

Good Morning, Carol!!!

What a delightful surprise to see the darling mug rug you've made & that CUTE flower to go with it! Well done, my friend!

I finally picked up my repaired computer yesterday & am s-l-o-w-l-y getting all my programs & such installed. I wanted to cry when I realized I had lost all my bookmarks. :*-(

Thankfully, I used Outlook Express back up, so I still have all my email addys & such. What a chore this has been!

Will be in touch more in about a week.
~~Safe Travel Vibes~~your way as you head south.

fondly,
Rett

p.s. Scheduled my mamo yesterday!

Happy Pink Saturday Carol Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share. I would love a tutorial on how you made the beautiful flower. It is perfect with your felted hat, or the wonderful tea mat. I have never seen one like that. It is absolutely gorgeous with the little tea pot on the side. I love it. A beautiful share today.

Have a safe trip getting back to Florida for the winter. Country hugs and much love, Sherry

Hello Carol,
I am not happy to see you all packed and ready to leave. Makes me realize how close winter is, and I dread it. Last year was not good, too many days not being able to get out of the house.

Love that flower on your hat.

My cup sits on the lovely mug mat Rett sent me She is such a great gal!

Have a safe trip South.
