Blogger’s Quilt Festival

 

 

I am joining Amy's Creative Side for the Fall Blogger’s Quilt Festival.

I am a Kaffe Fassett wannabe. I love his fabric and his quilt designs. I often buy a kit because I no longer have the stash that I used to and the fabrics are so stunning that I only want to use them for one quilt.

This quilt hangs over the railing at the cabin.

The centers of the blocks were fussy-cut from Kaffe’s Target Fabric.

The pattern is called Cinnamon Ginger and is by Lori Allison. The long arm quilting was done by Len at Coastal Quilter in Bradenton, FL.

In Front of the Fireplace….

 

 

I wanted to take advantage of the fact that for about 2 weeks out of the year we have a fireplace. At Jack’s house we enjoy several fires before we go back to Florida. It only seemed fitting that we should enjoy a dinner there even if it meant sitting on the floor. I started with the leather ottoman, a board and a quilt. Jack made the fire and I got the dishes.

And look at that blue outside. The yard is bright because of outside lighting.

I am joining Susan at  A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday.

We went to North Conway to ship the last of the boxes back to Florida. We went to the Christmas Loft to get pictures for the Christmas blogs. I experimented with taking pictures from the truck. I managed some unusual positions and just a few pictures I was happy with.

 

The color is almost gone but still quite brilliant.
