Pink Saturday – a rose vase

Another Pink Saturday at Beverly’s How Sweet the Sound. This is a fun event that many participate in and enjoy. Please stop by and see what everyone has posted (after you have left a comment here, of course).

I am very fortunate to have some hand painted china that was done by a great, great aunt. Each time I look at her work I am awestruck. I love roses and usually have them in the house. The price of a dozen from the market are affordable and I choose them as my treat instead of many other treats that are out there.

Last week I visited Grace at Pink in the City. She has a good sense of humor and nice posts. I love the one about the mismatched sox. Don’t forget to visit the other posts.

Happy Pink Saturday!

That vase is so very beautiful. The fact that it was in the family even makes it that much more special. I have a tea cup and saucer that I inherited from my aunt. However, I broke it and that really just broke my heart. :(

Hi, Carol!

I'm taking a break from my blog break, and I'm so glad I did because this post is absolutely beautiful! I love your aunt's china and your pretty pink roses. All so lovely!

Happy Pink Saturday to you!

XO,

Sheila

(Carol, I think the snow on your blog is slowing it to a crawl. That happened to four other posters I know, and when they removed it, their blogs worked again. Just wanted you to be aware of it because they had the same experience. Apparently, it requires a lot of juice to run that and try to type or scroll, too. This happened to Gloria, BJ, Mollye, and Sue... each of whom had snow on their blogs abd removed it. Now they are fine. :-)

Carol, I LOVE that vase. What a gorgeous place for a dozen roses. I love to keep fresh flowers in the house as well. They're important!

Hi, Carol! Just checking back in with you. Yes, this is a lot better. I think the snow was the problem. Glad you were able to shovel it off! LOL! ;-)

This vase is a true treasure. Oh my! I am looking at this and keep saying, "it was handpainted" over and over. Your great aunt was very talented and you are very blessed to have something of great beauty and deep sentimental meaning.

What a wonderful Pink Saturday post! I just ♥ the fact that each of us shares such a variety of items - that's one reason why this event is never boring. Always something fun, new, lovely or interesting around the corner.

Thanks for sharing a part of yourself today☺ Cold, gloomy day today but, as always, bright and sunny on the Pink Saturday blogs.

♫Wishing you sunshine and happiness this weekend!♫

Carol, the handpainted china is as delicate as the beautiful pink petals of the roses you bought in the market. What a wonderful treasure! I agree with you. Flowers are a treat we should all give ourself. Thus the name of my blog! ~ Happy Pink Saturday, my friend! ~ Sarah
