Today is one of my favorite days of the week. We all play with our dishes. I love to see all the pretty dishes everyone has and try to find new ways to set my table. Susan at Between Naps on the Porch plays hostess for Tablescape Thursday each week. Be sure to stop by and see what she has done and what all the others have done. This tablescape is rather simple. The Vietri Pottery stands alone I think. The pattern is La Fenice and is named for a small hotel on the Amalfi Coast. I would love to go there! The candlesticks are from Provence. The tablecloth, mats and napkins are from Williams-Sonoma. The glasses are from Pottery Barn.
The platter became a serving dish for antipasto.
An olive medley on the side….
Some wonderful bread from Fresh Market…….
Some nice red wine….
And when dinner was over….

Morning Carol
What a lovely table setting. The plates are gorgeous. The colours are so Meditterean.
I have some new Italian neighbours and Carmela comes from the Amalfi coast. I must ask her about the La Fenice Hotel, I am seeing her for coffee/ tea later.
Have a great day, Jackie.
You brought summer to the table and in this dreary January it is most certainly welcomed!
I really like your dishes! And all the little tasty treats look wonderful!
The dishes are a work of art...the table setting is just gorgeous and the food rounds the whole thing out to perfection. Those dishes would be gorgeous shown on a hutch or on the table.

Carol, Thank you so much for visiting my blog and I just love yours. If you hadn't visited me I probably wouldn't have found you.
It's so funny because you said you had my tablecloth that I showed and when I looked at yours, I have that tablecloth too. It appears that we both have a "thing" for WS. Since I don't have a WS anywhere close to me I'm like a kid in a candy store when I do get in one.
Your post was just gorgeous, I loved everything about it but especialy loved those mats. If you recall I used similar chargers on my post but those mats are awesome. I am now on the look out for them. I also really liked those candle holders. That color is just gorgeous. BTW, we have other similarities too. I will email you.

Your table is so pretty, but it was your header that caught my eye. Do you mind sharing how you created that watercolor effect? It is amazing! Peggy from PA bfdgirl@yahoo.com
This is such a lovely site... I need to stop by more often!
Your tablescape is very pretty. I like the painted scenes on the dishes and your candlesticks.
What a lovely place you have. Your tablesetting are well planned.
I need to stop and sit here to melt in the coziness.
Thanks for your wonderful ideas.
Happy week-end.
What pretty dishes! They make me feel like I've been on a nice warm beach vacation. - how nice! Pretty colors on your table today.
Carol, these dishes took me straight to the Italian coast. Thanks for this little whiff of warmth in January. Vietri pottery is always so beautiful. ~ Sarah
The pottery is so cheerful, perfect to brighten any day.
Add bread from Fresh Market and I would think I was on holiday.
