I am continuing today with my Sascha Brastoff dishes. Last week I had coffee on the the coffee table and caught up with some thank you notes. You can read about Sascha here.
This week the table is set for a dinner party and I will share that with you today on Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Susan graciously hosts this event each week so grownups can play set the table. Thank you Susan.
I started like this….
But then I saw the roses…
These dinner plates are over sized so I thought they would make good chargers. Then I put the dinner plates and bread and butters on top. I found the little saucers at an antique shop. I thought the color would pop a little with the sherberts I set on top. You may notice that I have no glassware. I haven’t found what I think would look well with these dishes.

The roses are lovely and bring out the yellow in the small salad plates. Your table setting is beautiful.
I love the yellows and the larger plates you've used. They are just stunning! The roses are beautiful!
Beautiful!! I love the yellow also.
All the colors on your table make it very warm and inviting. Love the crystal candle holders!
Such a lovely setting. A person would feel very special sitting at this table. I keep hearing how cold it has been in Florida and hope where you are it is nicer. I was looking back at your post and I love your granny squares. I too love Kaffe's colors and use his fabrics. Thanks for visiting me. Have a beautiful day! Sharon
Here in France this is the kind of table that we would sit around chatting to friends into the wee small hours. It has such a warm & intimate feel.
Maybe one day we'll do that?

I love this, Carol. It's clean, contemporary, and very dramatic! Your photography is, as always, beautifully done.
I'm looking forward to seeing these pieces again when you've found just the right glassware.
