This will be my first post in quite some time. I have had a hip replacement and Serendipity has been on the back burner for a while. Severe hip pain has truly limited my activities these last few months and I am now just starting to be comfortable. I hope to get some more pink photos tomorrow but for today and I am going to go through some older photos to find some pink! The first and second photos are manipulated with Virtual Painter. “Painting” is fun with these programs and the effects are spectacular. I need to make notes because I forget what I have done! Some photographs work better than others and some are more artistic in Photoscape. I cannot seem to get the hang of Photoshop. These other programs are so user friendly. I have bought several books on Photoshop but perhaps I need a class. In the meantime…..
This year I hope to gather some of my favorite “artworks” and send them off to have blank cards made. I will use them as small gifts.
Thanks to all of you who sent e-mails and comments. The blogging friends are truly special. I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for this weekly event.
Happy Pink Saturday!

Awwwww! A bouquet of pink flowers for me? And really I should be sending some your way. Sorry to hear about the pain and limited mobility you have been experiencing. But hope you and your new hip are better than normal in no time!
I love the painted effect of your beautiful first picture!
Happy Early Pink Saturday!

Hi Carol, thank you for the comment on my blog. Pleased to hear you have found a comfortable way to sit at the PC.
I have made a collage / mosaic with some flowers from my garden and "manipulated" them with Virtual Painter. Watch out for my post on Monday. I think it is a great programme as I am useless at painting.
I too cannot get on with Photoshop or even Paint Shop Pro, that I have, for some things. I would love to understand how to do layering!!
Have a very happy pink Saturday and a Scenic Sunday!! Jackie in UK.
So glad to see you back.... Prayers for a speedy recovery!
Have a Great Weekend!
Love,
Marilyn

So happy to know things are getting a bit easier now - keep up the good work and soon you'll be out and about with that camera!
Like you I gave up trying to learn Photoshop - there are so many easier programs to play with now!
You remain in my thoughts dear.

Hi Carol,
I hope you are feeling better each day! My sis had hers done 2 yrs ago. It took awhile, but she is back up doing her Irish dancing again, which is what she loves.
Your blooms are beautiful!
Every pain free step is a blessing!
Have a good week!
I'm glad to hear that you are recuperating and feeling up to blogging again. Your photos are gorgeous - what fun you'll have rambling about with your new hip and your camera!
There you are!
Glad you're back in the blogseat my dear.
Thank you for the kind words about my vegetable garden, I always enjoy your visits to Normandy.
Have a great week,
Maggie
Hello Carol: I've missed your lovely posts. I didn't know you were having hip surgery. Sorry to hear about all the aches but hope that surgery did the trick and you are well on your way to feeling much, much better.
Best,
Bonnie
Prayers and thoughts on your way Carol.
Happy Pink Saturday.

Those are some lovely pinks, Carol. I hope you will be feeling much better very soon.
XO,
Sheila :-)
Your photos are wonderful and it doesn't look like you need to learn anything. I use Photoshop Elements which is supposed to be easier than the full version of Photoshop.
I was struggling with it today to learn about layering two photos so the bottom one shows through. (Plan to post my sad results.) Couldn't figure out the Layer Mask. The online help is useless but I often type my question into Google and find an answer. I have a good book about the program but already moved it to the new house.
