Mosaics for Monday

I am joining Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday. This is a fun event for those of us who love to play with pictures and the various photo editing programs that are out there. I have a tendency to stick with Photoscape because I find it so user friendly. I have Photoshop and several books but I cannot seem to do what I would like to do with the program. I will keep trying and perhaps there will be a class I could take.

My friend Jackie in the UK made the most outstanding mosaics this past week. You should stop by and see what she has done. I thought I would play a bit over the weekend. The results follow. As a background for some of the mosaics, I used a photograph of rusted bedsprings.  We stop in at Deb’s Flowerbed Farm in Bridgton, ME to look for good ”stuff”. This old bed frame was outside surrounded by flowers in various settings.

I love the texture and design. I played with effects and filters and lighting.

Have a wonderful week. Be sure to visit the other mosaic makers and stop in to see Jackie in the UK!

Carol, all our pictures are great!! I love the backgrounds. I think we are both having fun with Photoscape which as you said is very user friendly.I love the way you have used the springs, great idea. You will be making lots more now I can see and I for one will be copying some ideas if that is ok?? Thank you very much for the mention of my blog.

Thank you my dear friend, Jackie in UK.x

Great mosaic Carol, I use Photoshop as my computer is too old to run both Photoscape and Photoshop together. Mmmm, maybe I should download photoshop and just use photoscape. Take care and have a great week.

LOVE those rusted springs! I use Photoscape to frame photos. I tried for the longest time today to simply figure out how to write a text quote in several programs and frame it. I searched the Help. It must be so simple they don't even list it.

Oh my goodness, your mosaics today are wonderful Carol.
Your best ever!
You have certainy raised the bar high, my friend.
You've got the rest of us scurrying to open PhotoScape to see what we can do too.
Thanks for the inspiration, and to Jackie too for inspiring you.

Wonderful photographs! I've been thinking about purchasing a version of Photoshop. I think I'll check out Photoscape first. I'm not the best when it comes to utilizing cutting edge technology.

Best,
Bonnie

I use photoscape too because I find the photoshop hard to understand. I think you worked some magic this week.

What fantastic mosaics, Carol!!! Very unique with such bold, graphic designs & colors. BRAVO!

I used to live in Venice Golf & Country Club in FL & shopped in Sarasota for many of my sewing/embroidery items. Eye of the Needle & Needlepoint Ivy (in Venice) were favorites.
I'm hoping we get to return to Venice this winter. Last years trip got canceled by DH's ♥ attack. He's doing much better now! :-)
