I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday. Please stop by and see all the Pinks when you are finished here! I love comments so don’t be shy.
We have rented this cabin on a lake in the woods for several years. In the bedroom thumb tacked to the wall is a picture of a lovely lady. No one knows who she is. The photograph was taken by Purdy Studios in Boston and in very faint ink is written Phoebe ‘26.
So I thought it would be very fitting to photograph her with another mystery. I bought this unmarked pink “McCoy” type vase. I just liked the shape of it. I am trying very hard to know the sources of what I buy but sometimes it is just impossible.
The flowers are from my garden. I am not sure what the little white flower is but the pink ones are snapdragons.
Maybe Phoebe crocheted the runner for the dresser……
Happy Pink Saturday!

Marilyn took the words out of my mouth. That was my first thought, it was her house. Very pretty vase with its unique design.
Hi Carol from a very wet UK!!
That is a lovely old photograph and the vase and flowers suit it so well. Could the white flower be Phlox?
Thank you for visiting my blog and the lovely comments you leave. I am glad that you appreciate my posts on our travels and English history.
Pleased to hear the hip is going well. I have nearly another two weeks until I see an orthopaedic doctor about my pain.
Have a great weekend, best wishes from your friend in the UK, Jackie
How interesting. For years, there was a framed photograph of an elderly lady that hung in the hallway of my grandmother's home. I asked her one day who it was and she said she had no idea. Oddly enough, it had been left hanging there when my grandparents had bought the home, and my grandmother said the woman seemed at home there and not one to mess with - she was quite stern looking - and so my grandmother left that photo hanging on the wall. We still don't know who she was.
I have just stumbled across your blog and I loved the visit! It's just a beautiful space!!!

So beautiful! Don't you love wondering of what might have been in an older photo? Happy Pink Saturday.

What a pretty vase !
I read in your bio that you enjoy quilting and reading - I love Emilie Richards books, they are all about quilting in the Shenandoah Valley. Fun and actually "informative" reads !
I'm so glad I joined Pink Saturday so I could meet and join great blogs such as yours.

How fascinating! Thank you for sharing Phoebe and Happy Pink Saturday!
Such a sweet pink vase! I love the little side bows on it!
The white flowers look similar to a miniature white phlox to me. Miss Phoebe looks like she would like to know also!!
Thanks for the fun post!
Lynn
What a pretty vase! I bet you could make up a good story about that pic, which looks to be in good shape for being tacked to a wall!
