I am joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Visit her blog for a wonderful treat. I borrowed an old teapot from my neighbors at the lake and the table just grew from there.
The teapot was made by Royal Doulton and the name of the pattern is Indian.
The view is the lake. The screens on the porch made it hard to get a good picture.
Because we are at the cabin for the summer, I don’t have a lot of “stuff” to play tablescaping but I found some dishes and some silver-plate flatware and just scrounged around for more. I made the quilt a few years back from feed sack squares. The candlesticks are a recent purchase.
The china is Booth’s Old Staffordshire which I bought a couple of years ago. The flatware is Harmony House Maytime by Wallace. I was able to find the names of these patterns and was thrilled. So often I am unable to identify what I have bought.
Have a great weekend!

So nice to see the table set near an open window (and especially nice to see an open window, which rarely we see here in the steamy south) ... love that teapot too! Very pretty table (and quilt)!
Hi Carol! This is gorgeous! I just love all the dishes you used and I love that it's right by a window, too. And the quilt is lovely. Hope you have a great week!
Hi Carol,
Love anything on an old quilt! Such a pretty touch with your sweet dishes and your adorable teapot, bright flowers and a view of the lake. Happy Summer to you!
Covering the table with your beautiful quilt adds depth & richness to the setting which compliments the china, I think your table for two is just lovely.
The teapot is a classic piece, gorgeous!

Hello Carol~I've just strolled in for my first visit...I've enjoyed taking a peek around. Your blog is so beautifully inviting. We share similar tastes for so many of the same creative design elements.
Your tablescape is beautiful, especially the vintage quilt. It was the perfect canvas for creating the setting.
It's wonderful how inspiring blog friends as yourself can be, that's why I love returning the gesture, by sharing cooking or DIY ideas too.
I've bookmarked you in my favs.
I look forward to coming by your charming blog again.
Come by for a visit. Your company would be nice.
Sweet wishes,
Sara

What a beautiful table you've set - hard to believe that you were making apologies for being at the cabin and not having much to work with. This table scape is timeless and elegant.
So pretty love the china and your bobache's add such elegance to your table.
