Playing with Dishes…..

We are slowly but surely getting settled and organized. So many unfinished projects from last year (the year of the bad hip!) and so many projects I want to do this year.

I am very far behind in visiting and commenting but I will catch up. Please don’t forget about my giveaway (read my sidebar for more details). The embroidery machine will be exhausted before Christmas gets here!

This is the first of my Thanksgiving tables. I have not decided what my final table will look like so I am playing.

L1040947

I started with chargers from Pottery Barn. The tablecloth was on sale at Williams Sonoma.

L1040946

The mustard plates are also from Williams Sonoma. The amber wine glasses are antique and I have not been able to find out the name of the pattern or who made them. The smaller sherry glasses are made by Cambridge and the pattern is Aurora.

L1040944

The red plates are Vietri. The napkins are by Bodum and were a gift along with the napkin holders.

L1040942

I love the flatware. I bought this a couple of summers ago at Deb’s Flowerbed Farm in Maine. I tucked it in a a drawer and found it the other day. I believe it is made by Universal but I will have to do some more research.

L1040938

The fruit compote and candlesticks are from Deb’s as well. The candles are made by Root and I buy them on Amazon.

L1040963

I love the patterns in the compote. The faux fruit is from all over. I love salt cellars.

I am joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. I love comments so don’t be shy! Look for more about my Holiday Giveaway in the next few days. And be sure to visit BNOP for more dishes on display.

Back to perpetual sunshine, right Carol? I hope you are adjusting, that moving back and forth is wonderful, but must be tough also.

You always set such a pretty table with your eye for color combining. Red pears are so divine too!

Carol, I was posting to you and suddenly I was jerked back through another post, feet first and backwards. LOL! Not sure what just happened, but I ended up on Rett's blog! LOL!

Carol, such a pretty fallish table. I too love the wood chargers, but my favorite are those amber wine glasses. Everything about the table speaks fall! Joni

Everything looks beautiful. Let us know which one you decide on. We're eating out on Thanksgiving because all our family is in NC and we're in Florida for the winter. Not too bad though-no dishes...lol..

Sounds like you've had a full plate in the past year (pun intended). So many great choices for your Thanksgiving entertaining. The amber goblet is magnificent. There is a store in Ft. Worth that has always been very kind about helping with identification. They told me that it's actually the stem that gives them the most information when searching for a maker of crystal stemware. Here's the info, if you want to contact them. www.dishesfromthepast.com - 3701 Lovell Avenue, Fort Worth - (817) 737-6390 Thank you for sharing your charming designs. I'm a new follower. Cherry Kay

Carol, I still love your red Vietri plates. We bought some at the factory in Italy, but they didn't have red plates. Zut!

Your tables are always gorgeous.
