Hard to Choose Just One…

I love kitchen gadgets and when Happier than a Pig in Mud decided to have this party, I knew I had to be there. Of course I love my mixer and my food processor and my blender (especially my immersion blender) but my favorite this week is my kitchen torch.

Crème  Brulee is about my favorite dessert. It is very easy to make and can be made ahead. Putting the ramekins under the broiler to caramelize the sugar was awkward and a tray of ramekins is heavy.

I played worked at a Williams-Sonoma store for a couple of years. I never technically brought a paycheck home.  Each Friday I came home with their signature bags full of their wonderful merchandise and food products. The training was wonderful and I learned a great deal about kitchen ware.

Some candied violas (edible flower) on top and dessert is ready.

I hope you join Lynn at Happier Than A Pig In Mud for I ♥ My Favorite Kitchen Gadget Party!

I love Williams-Sonoma! It's like going to mecca for me! I never leave empty-handed! Your Crème Brulee looks delicious! It's one of my top two desserts, the other being strawberry shortcake! Now I want to make it, but I need that cute gadget! LOL!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I like Creme Brulee, too, and had it for the first time in my life aboard ship on our first cruise. My son in law loves it and I would love to learn to make it for him.
I wish we had a W-S store here but we don't. I do enjoy their web site and catalogs.
Your brulee is beautiful with the flowers.:)
AND..I noticed that we love the same movies..Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman and Bridges.:)

My favourite desert is creme brulee but Phil has an allergy to eggs so I only have it when it is on the menu when I am eating out I do have a blowtorch though just in case I make one for guests!!

Love the candied viola's you have as a topping.

Happy Valentines Day!!

I don't own one, but have seen one in action with a dessert a friend brought to a dinner at my house. The dessert is delicious; I should try it sometime. :-)

Whenever I go into WS I always think the SAME thing--if I worked here I would never actually make any $$ because I would bring home my pay in goods! The gadget looks handy. I am fascinated by and scard of them at the same time. I do like creme brulee, though, so maybe I will be brave and give it a try. Linda

Oh, that would be the problem with working at WS!!! How funny! I had to laugh.

Did you read my blog last week on my chocolate creme brulee? I had gotten one of the torches for my husband, since he loves the creme brulee, but then he never made any, so when I went to blog it for Valentine's Day, I tried and tried and tried to light the dumb thing. After who knows how long, I looked at the box and realized it didn't come with the fuel! I had several others comment that they had done the same!

I still haven't gotten the fuel yet, but I will. He looked at the store but couldn't find the right one.

Yours looks wonderful.

Hi, thanks for your visit to my blog and kind comment!
I probably would have done the same thing if I ever worked at Williams Sonoma---came home every week with goodies and no paycheck!!

The cupcakes pictured in my post have cupcake wraps that I bought from Wilton. :-)

Bet that was fun at WS store! Carol, your brulee looks fantastic and I'm sure it's delicious! That's a beautiful presentation with the pansies. I like kitchen gadgets too and will be checking out the torch.

Williams-Sonoma is a dangerous place for me! I love your kitchen torch! I am just so afraid of fire... The creme brulee looks yummy! Thank you for your visit!

What a fun opportunity to work at Williams-Sonoma. I too would probably need a second job to cover my shopping! The creme brulee looks scrumptious and the violas are the perfect touch.

I should get a job there, LOL. I am there every week, the outlet, ie, and I am on a first name basis with many of the clerks. They tell me I should work part time so I could get the discount which is substantial, on top pf the sale prices!

I have though about those torches, I am a little afraid! :)
