“Your table is not quite ready. Perhaps you would like to enjoy a beverage while you look at the menu for tonight’s dinner?”
While I have been cleaning and organizing cupboards and closets, I have come across many items I had forgotten about or forgotten that I had. This ice bucket was tucked in the back of a cupboard I rarely open.
The ice bucket with the bar tools that hook on to the bucket belonged to my parents and was a gift. They used it occasionally but I think my mother probably balked at keeping it polished.
The linen tablecloth was a find many years ago and I found it at the bottom of a trunk at the foot of our bed. This trunk has many treasures that I hope to share in the coming year.
I love the details on the various bar tools. The glasses are Waterford and my parents used them frequently for their cocktails! They survived and I have 4 of them.
The design on the tablecloth is pansies and shamrocks – an interesting combination. I scrunched the cloth on my coffee table.
I am joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday. Be sure to visit her and see all the lovely vignettes and tabletops.

Good Morning Carol Sweetie...
What a beautiful share this morning. I love the little ice bucket and just look at all the little tools surrounding it. I have never seen one quite like it. Love it. How special that it belonged to your parents. I am so tickled you brought it out of hiding.
Love this pansy tablecloth as well. Pansies are my favorite and so is red. It is exquisite.
Thank you for sharing this morning sweet friend. Have a glorious Tuesday. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Carol, what an excellent find, the ice bucket and its accessories are wonderful. The tablecloth goes so well with the Waterford crystal glasses. Did your parents visit Ireland at some time and bring them back as souvenirs?
Looking forward to seeing what else is hiding in the trunk!! Jackie in Surrey, UK.
Such a lot of treasures from the trunk and cupboard. Maybe I should start cleaning out a few around here. Your comment about having four Waterford glasses had me chuckling because, at first, I thought you were saying that you'd had four cocktails. Now that'd be a great way to start or finish a cleaning project. Have a fun day...
I love this post.... hugs, Flavia
Pretty cocktail glasses and ice buckets rather evoke by gone times. I think my folks had a set too that they entertained with back in the 60's. NICE!

What wonderful treasures. Love everything. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
Beautiful ice bucket and tools Carol! The shamrock cloth is really neat too-enjoy:@)
Oh those treasures that slip to the back! Yours are lovely!
First, thank your for visiting my blog, and for your kind comments.
What a great find! I hope you have fun using it! I love the Waterford on the rocks glasses!
How wonderful to find these treasures tucked away for safe keeping.
Lovely too that they are now gracing your pretty tabletop.
What a gorgeous set!
The ice bucket is a gem. I wish I could unearth something that pretty from the back of my cupboards. I usually find spilled tooth picks and packs of sugar. I love the Waterford glasses.
Oh I love that red cloth! but you are right --pansies and shamrocks. Makes you wonder.
The ice bucket is a treasure, and doubly wonderful because it was in the family. Fabulous piece; I've never seen one with all the bar tools attached. Does it smell of Scotch? :-)
I have my parents old shiny aluminum one; don't have to polish it, and it has that mid-20th-century style. Plus, it works!
And thank you, Carol, for your kindness and sympathy on the loss of my father; your sweet comment was very much appreciated.
Best wishes, Cass
