I was awake very early this morning...It will take awhile to adjust to the time change. We are getting settled. It takes longer each year. It is the boxes we pack and ship. I am ridiculous when it is time to go north learning that I really will not accomplish all the projects I ship to the cabin. The cabin is for photography and one or two very small projects.
This is fabric in a box. I have almost finished this quilt. Almost is the key word. The whole studio is sort of a shambles as I find a home for everything in the boxes.
The desk is a mess.
I have a weakness for McCoy pottery. I have rearranged the shelves and will show you pictures later.
Yesterday I had just had enough of studio chaos. I accepted that I will probably not be knitting socks and instead started a baby blanket designed to be made with leftover sock yarn.
It is called the Zig and Zig Sock Yarn Pram Blanket and was designed by Debbie Orr. You can find the pattern here. It was a real treat to leave the studio for a bit but today is another day and I will be putting away the last box and getting ready to work on projects for Christmas.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

I've never been fond of this fall back time change, some years I don't think I ever adjust to it! The baby blanket is pretty:@)
I love falling back, I hate springing ahead. I swear I'm tired until we fall back again! LOve the new baby afghan!
Love the idea of using up sock yarn on a blanket. Very pretty! It will take me (and the kitties) a few days to get used to the time change. The kits think I'm running an hour behind! Happy Monday!
I love the yarn in that last picture of the baby blanket. It will be like a coat of many colors when done! I see Santa made his way into the caos on your desk. :0 Have a lovely day sorting and unpacking. Blessings, Pamela
It is a bit like when I pack for a holiday, I always take too much and never wear half of it!!! At least having it with you in Maine you MIGHT of had time to use it in a project.
I am sure you will soon be organised, if you want to be!! Love Jackie in Surrey, UK.
What a great name for a creative project the Zig & Zag Sock Yarn Pram Blanket!
Who's the baby?
Have fun organizing your studio...really I enjoy an organizing day or two. i feel I've accomplished so much once it's done. I will be finished my smaller quilting fabrics this week and then will so another reorganization. i must admit - looking through all the scraps drives me crazy sometimes so I just have one big box for the fabrics i don't want to see again for a long while...I inevitably think of them and dig them out for possible projects though. I love your little pram blanket project!
Love the look of the blanket and good luck with sorting out your studio!
Love the colors of the pram blanket, Carol, and I know you will feel better when you can restore order. I need to do the same here! I'm living in chaos. LOL!
XO,
Sheila
I love McCoy pottery too!
Thanks for sharing the Zig Zag Pattern Sock Yarn Pram Blanket. Just the thing to use my leftovers.
It seemed to take us a week to recover from the time change on our return from Asia! Have fun getting reorganised.
Beautiful colors! Yes it's good to leave for a time and focus on other things -- it will be waiting for your right?
