A touch of pink on this old basket from Flowerbed Farm. I did not buy it but I did admire it. So it is another Pink Saturday and I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound after a long absence. Beverly asked about our Autumns and our plans for the weekend.
Well, I am going to enjoy the weekend. We are almost settled for the months to come and that is a big job. And I am going to knit and visit blogs and play with my pictures. We are fighting colds.
I like the posterize effect. I hope to join Vee's Notecard party this month. You can read more about it here.
New socks are in the making. These I shall take to knitting because I can talk and laugh at the same time. There is a lot of talking and laughing at A Good Yarn. You can visit their store here and if you are in the area be sure to stop by and wish them Happy Anniversary. 3 years! What a contribution this store has made to the knitting community.
Next week I hope to get the embroidery machine going in Santa's workshop in my studio/office/guest bedroom. Jack is making his famous chili so if we do get these colds, we will be all set for meals.
Hope everyone has a good week.
Happy Pink Saturday!

Hubby has a cold too. Just have to keep fueling the inner fire by eating lots of really warm foods, staying inside where it's warm and getting plenty of sleep.
Those socks are adorable!
Oh how I envy you there in Florida! Those look like nice warm socks for a winter in South Dakota. I better get to knittin'.
Looks like you have some great projects going and an enjoyable weekend planned. Stay well!
It looks like you have things organized and will make the best use of your weekend.
Hi Carol, welcome back to pink Saturday - I hope you have a lovely weekend knitting! Happy Pink Saturday. ~Marti
Beautiful pictures, Carol! Welcome back to Florida, too. It's hard to believe that it's already AGYs third anniversary! CELEBRATE. ;-)

Hi Carol, it's nice to meet you! Thanks for your visit. I'm your newest follower :). I read about your Rich. My hubby's name is Rich, also. He's had cancer these past seven years, and he's still battling. Happy PS.
Lovely photos; lovely playing with photos. Sorry about those colds and hope that they're on the wane. Yes, we must meet. I have my reasons for not wishing to meet local bloggers, but you're in Florida for goodness sake! =)
Hi Carol. sorry to hear about the colds. Phil and I have been clear so far, but little Harry has had a virus so wouldn't be surprised if I catch something.
Love the posterized picture, what programme did you use?
We have a new camera and I publish my pics in Flicker and Picasa as I don't have my blog anymore.
Remembrance Sunday here tomorrow so will be going to Guildford Cathedral for the service and then lunch in the refectory.
I have been ordering a few Christmas presents this week from Amazon UK and other online stores.
Will continue to follow your blog and be very envious of how creative you are!!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, love Jackie in Surrey, UK.x
Carol I have opened a new blog on Wordpress, not sure if I am doing it alright, can be found at

Hi Carol, Happy Pink Saturday. I really like the posterize effect too. I love taking photos and altering them to use for note cards or in other art projects. I'm a knitter too but I've never tried anything as difficult as socks. Scarves, baby booties, blankets, hats, and simple baby sweaters, and dish cloths. I'm one of your new followers. Have a great weekend. Hope you are feeling well soon. Joyous Wishes, Linda
Pretty flowers. I think Santa will have a lot of fun using your machine. I'll bet we'll be seeing some lovely sugar plum fairies in no time!

Hi Carol. I love the vintage sewing basket and your pink flowers are a pretty addition for PS. I wish I could knit. Smile.
I hope your colds improve quickly.
Happy Pink Sat.
Hugs, Jeanne
Hope your colds are better now, the chili is sure to have blown it away!
The socks look super, a bit out of my league, but I too have picked up a pair of needles to knit a pink scarf for Vicki's Pink Scarf Project.
Maybe your group would be interested to learn about it? http://vicki-2bagsfull.blogspot.fr/2012/10/my-pink-scarf-project-opportunity-and_8.html
I don't usually add links to comments but this is project close to my heart and I just want to spread the word. Hope you'll forgive me?

What beautiful yarn you're using for those socks. i love knitting with variegated wool. i'm working on a toque this morning and have just finished a scarf and toque for my daughter. Glad to hear you are almost settled and enjoying life at home. Those pink roses like and artist has painted them.
