All wrapped up......

Well, finally! I made bows this year! I know that in the scheme of all things important this accomplishment is not at the top of the list but my inability to make a bow has always distressed me. I love a beautifully wrapped present. Just couldn't make it happen. Then I read about the Bowdabra somewhere and decided to try it. I have no affiliation with this product by the way. I ordered mine from Amazon and there are online demonstration videos.

A present for Jack sits on a branch of the tree.

A plaid bow sits by my faux chocolate Santa given to me by dear friend Patti many years ago. If it were not faux, I would have eaten it long ago!

My first attempts with the Bowdabra were not too successful but I persisted.

My Featherweight has a new cabinet. My present to me. I ordered this from B&D and it arrived 2 weeks ago. I will write more about this cabinet in another post.

So today I will finalize my menu, listen to Christmas music, knit and count my blessings. I wish you a Merry Christmas or a happy holiday of your choice.

I will join Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday. Stop by and say hi.

Carol, this is so good to know because I have trouble with bows, too, despite my friends working with me on making them. Thanks for the review. Your bows really look great so your attempts with the Bowdabra appear to have been quite successful. Cute chocolate Santa by the way.

Congrats on the new sewing machine cabinet. That will certainly be a blessing for your many projects with the machine. I also hope that your hands are better. There is something called udder balm or bag balm that is supposed to really help sore, cracked skin. I think it is an old fashioned remedy. That and corn huskers lotion. I use Gold Bond's Ultimate, and that has really been a help with chapped hands and elbows. There is a foot formula, too. I came across it when I received a sample in a gift bag at a Publix opening some years ago. It works well for me.

Merry Christmas!

I gave up on bows years ago ... probably why I like Christmas bags! I'm very impressed. I may have to look this magical apparatus up on Amazon! :)

Looks as if you caught the hang of it very well! I must get busy bowing up the gifts myself. They are wrapped and tagged, but bowless. I look forward to hearing more about your sewing cabinet. It looks like a beauty.

Evening Carol, your bows look wonderful, you are a lot more organised than me. Phil and I are going to wrap the presents tomorrow.
We wish you both a very happy Christmas and a healthy and peaceful New Year!!

Hi lovely lady.
I am new on your blog and following now also. I love your bows that you have put together and I know how long it takes to make a bow for a present! It takes 15 minutes to buy the present and an hour and a half to wrap it and make the bow! I know it would be much easier to put it in a gift bag, but I'm real particular with Christmas presents! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
