Back in Florida….

L1010683

We are back but hardly settled. I think that I can do it all in one day but I will be lucky to do get this all organized in 1 week so this post doesn’t fit any of the categories or events I normally participate in.
We left on Halloween. We spent the night in Portland because our flight left at O dark early on Sunday. Saturday night is also the night they turned the clocks back and everyone in the hotel knew that except for the poor desk clerk who had to make the wake up calls and called us at 2:30 am for our 3:30 call! He was so apologetic and sent a carafe of good coffee to our room.
The flights were uneventful. Our friends met us at the airport and had dinner ready for us. There was even a centerpiece made from a white pumpkin. Of course, we are still an hour ahead and we got up at 2:30 – I was in bed very early and of course I was up very early. I’m feeling quite out of sorts.
I have been very unhappy with my guest room/office/sewing and craft room since we first moved in – I just can’t make it seem to work when I am working on something. I am not a “neat” creator. I need to have it all in front of me when I start a project because – well, because I just do! The blogging is really quite tidy. Just my coffee cup and my computer!
So, today we went to the Murphy bed place and the designer is coming tomorrow and we will see what we can come up with for a workable space. The guest bed is only a double and we just don’t fit in it as well as we used to! Not to mention the arthritic hips….
I would then like a big table that you could stand at or sit on a stool. This would be good for cutting a quilt, paper crafts, wrapping presents and all that good stuff.
However, it is back to the boxes……
The mermaid is from the Christmas Loft and is really quite festive!

You'll have to check out Sue's adjustable sewing table when you get a chance. It looks like a regular (long sewing cabinet when it's in table position), but with the flick of an electric switch, it rises to standing height. Veeery cool!)
Glad you're back. Hope to run into you in Sarasota very soon!
Welcome Hugs!

Hi Carol,
It's good to know that you are back in Florida safe & sound, I thought the mermaid was you in Floridian garb! No not, really!
I have your PIF cadeaux all packed and ready to go tomorrow, or maybe Monday at the latest.
I'm going to try & find the PIF "rules" for you too.
a bientot

Hi Carol, I'm so happy you had a safe trip back to Florida.

I love your darling mermaid, she made me chuckle. :)

Best of luck with the changes and I hope you'll share the results. Have a wonderful weekend!

I too am a "neat" creator. I just can't think about creating when a mess is in front of me. I have to have open spaces and free my mind.
