Pink Saturday

Another Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound with Beverly as the hostess. Stop by and see all the pretty pinks.

This a pillow that I embroidered on my embroidery/sewing machine. The design is from Embroidery Library.  The colors are pinks, corals and yellows.  Imagine – we  embroidered designs by hand. I admire those who still do.

Hi Carol...

Ohhh my...what a beautiful embroidered pillow, my friend! I love the pretty floral design your chose to embroider and ohhh...those beautiful, corals, yellows, and greens are just lushious!!! I still do a bit of hand embroidering but I'd love to have a machine...what I could do with it!!! Well...I could make fabulous pillows like yours, of course!

Just wanted to let you know that I toured your gorgeous tablescape! My friend, it just sparkles...I love it!!! I have never...ever seen dinner plates like your beautiful marbled glass before...they are quite unique and so very lovely! They make for a stunning place setting that's for sure! Ohhh...and I love the cyrstal bowls that you used for the table centerpiece...they are gorgeous filled with the pretty sparkley ornaments and candies! My friend, you did GOOD...on that tablescape!!!

Thank you for sharing your creativity and talents with us today, my friend...I thoroughly enjoyed the eye candy!!!

Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

Lovely embroidered pillow. Once upon a time I used to love to create such things by hand ... but that was BEFORE blogging ;-)
Happy Pink Saturday!

Hello Carol, the above comment sure hit the nail on the head. Everything I did before blogging is now just blogging. LOL I do love it though.

Your machine embroidery is beautiful. That too is an art form and it is very lovely.

Hugs, Jeanne

Such a pretty pillow Carol. What a fabulous machine you must have to do embroidery :-)

Have I told you before, that you live in one of my favorite places on earth, and your blog name is my absolutely favorite movie, Serendipity. I love that word and I love the word serendipitous too. I envy anyone who can sew on a sewing machine! What a gorgeous pillow. I failed bobbins and I can't thread my sewing machine. I was the girl in sewing class that kept getting her thread all tangled and jamming the machine. Not a hit in Home Ec at all. I still carry the scars, that is why I stick to paper.

How lovely that you put a badge on your blog for me. OMG. Would you do me a favor and e-mail me your mailing address, I will send you a print of Lily.

Blogging, a gateway to kindred spirits, a secret world I call The Land of Blog.

Carol, What a great pillow, your execution of design and finished product are exemplary. I stopped by to see your table scape and it is just glorious.I also just love your banner picture , is it your studio? Be blessed today. Meg

Yes, we did embroider by hand. I have a wicker trunk full of unfinished projects to prove it.

(I used to teach embroidery and needlepoint in NYC; I started LOTS of projects!)

Your pillow is beautiful. Is that ONE design? It looks so large; I'd love to know what kind of machine you have. I'm so tempted by the embroidery machines, but first I need to shovel out and paint daughter Anne's former rooms!

Any hints you have on what kind of machine is best... I'm all ears.
Except for the parts of me that aren't.

Oh that pillow is so pretty, I would think it would take hours and days to do by hand, Happy PInk Saturday, Char

Carol, that pillow is absolutely AMAZING. My grandmother used to do embroidery so I have an idea of the time that goes into something of that nature, but your work there is just phenomenal. Great job! Oh, I wish I were as talented as you to be able to do that.

Happy Pink Saturday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I use to love embroidering by hand, but have so much arthritis in my hands that I rarely attempt anything much but sewing on buttons. Your pillow is really pretty!

Carol, your pillow is exquisite. I used to embroider when I was a child, but these days I just don't have the patience.

Happy Pink Saturday.

Very, very pretty. When my children were small I used to do embroidery all the time...even took classes in it to learn the intricate stitches. Now all I do is treasure hunt and look for other people's handiwork. Happy Pink Saturday.

What a beautiful embroiderer you are - this is lovely, and the colours just perfect.

Happy Pink Saturday (it's the first chance I've had to visit - I taught TWO classes back-to-back yesterday, and Himself has bronchitis and is very miserable and attention-seeking).
