Tablescape Thursday – Chili on a chilly night

Susan at Between Naps on the Porch hosts Tablescape Thursday each week and we all set the table real pretty. I have learned so much from these tablescapers. Stop by Susan’s and see all the pretty tables.

Jack makes the best chili. You can find his recipe on an earlier post here. I make the corn bread and fix the toppings. I am not a purist (one who just has chili). I like all the stuff that you pile on top.

Carol, what a warm and festive table with a delicious supper! Love the china, linens, all. I adore your neat chairs, too. They look like (and I'm assuming are) antiques. So neat!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Beautiful colors, Carol! Everything looks warm and inviting. The chili looks great with all those tasty toppings, but the cornbread really caught my eye! What a great combo on a chilly evening!

Kindest regards,
Bill

Hi Carol

It looks great, very warming colours. I am not a chilli lover and we don't have cornbread here in the UK as far as I know!! It is great to see some food on the tablescape, it shows what a practical, homely person you are. Jackie in UK.

A great table! I'm a sucker for red. The chili and fixings looks so good! I think I'll make some tomorrow. I also love to pile on the toppings. Thanks for sharing

OMG! That red dish! We have those! We bought them from the factory in Tuscany last Spring. They didn't have any red plates when we were there, but we got red bowls (among other colors), and plates in other colors. We had those plates in a restaurant near Arezzo, and I asked them where they had bought them. They told us about the factory and we went there the next day. It was an enormous place, with all kinds of things. We wandered around the dusty shelves, choosing our china. What an adventure.

And you have the same ones! Amazing.
