Ready, set, knit

My blogging friend Sue at SuKnitWitty has a knitting group that meets on Wednesdays. I told her that I wished I had a group that was as much fun as hers! So she has started a virtual knitting group and we are all invited to join. You can read about it here. Her group is making sweaters but I am making socks. Actually, I haven’t even finished one sock! So on most Wednesdays, I will take some time and knit.

My Supplies:

A quilt or two because Florida is freezing so I don’t catch a chill in this unseasonable weather.

Do you knit?

I am also involved in a mug mat swap with my friend Donna at Brynwood Needleworks. This is a fun swap and Donna’s tutorial is perfect.

I have made one already and just ordered ribbons for more! I am fixing up a place and taking some time to knit on Wednesday.

Looking forward to Wednesday. Now to finish another mug mat.

A virtual knitting group, how classy is that?
I haven't knitted in years and have never knitted socks.
Good luck with yours.
Cute teapot BTW.

I love knitting. Not very good as I am a beginner, but its fun. My college daughter is always mentioning how nice handmade knitted socks would be! lol Love your mug mat - very pretty!

I don't have patience to knit, it's that simple...and I absolutely love quilts - Your blog is beautiful, glad you found me so I can follow YOU!. We hope to retire to part-time Florida living too - Connecticut Spring, Summer, Fall - that plan is still years away, but we keep looking for that perfect little bungalow down there (gulf-waterfront - if that's possible. )

For some crazy reason I'm not showing up as following, but when I click "Follow" it tells me I'm following and you show up in my dashboard . . . technology, sometimes it's crazy . . . but I am Following. This has only happened recently and It's happened on a few other blogs that I decided to follow also! Sorry my cute little Selkie face isn't showing up - I'm working on it!

Oh, I so wish I was able to knit but I am quite hopeless at it. It looks like you will have a great time with your project Carol.

Thanks so much for popping in and leaving such sweet messages during my bloggy break too. I think I have finally got my "mojo" back and am ready to get back into it again. It was wonderful to see Australia celebrating yesterday and putting the heartache of the last few weeks behind us for a day.

Hope the rest of your week is wonderful and thanks for being a wonderful bloggy friend.

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Hi Carol,
I don't knit, but I sure admire those that can.
I also love your cozy little corner where you can sit and knit and look at the window.

hugs

Oh Carol, Howard's sister not only works at a wonderful yarn shop, but she has knitted zillions of socks! If you need sage advice, let me know and I'll steer you to Phyllis.

I haven't knitted in ages. . . maybe I should fire up the needles again and join the virtual gang!
