Saturday Pinks

I am making a major change in blogging. I will be using my MacBook Pro instead of my Dell which is a little workhorse but getting very tired. I have been so spoiled by LiveWriter,  a Windows program, so I am hesitant to get into the Mac world. But here we go....

Yarn from my stash
I love playing with my photographs. I like to turn them into paintings - many types of paintings and I like to collage them. I am thrilled that Picasa now allows you to take your photos into Picnik for further embellishment. This Picasa feature helped me make the switch. Now if Photoscape would be Mac friendly, I would have all the photography toys I like to play with!
Sunrise on the lake
 Linens from Gram's Trunk

Today is just an experiment to see how we do....
I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for her famous Pink Saturday. Be sure to stop in and say Hi!
I will continue to transfer my gazillion pictures to the Mac.

Hi Carol from a very sunny Surrey. I do not know anything about Dell or Macbook but I love your pictures. I too have been from Picasa to Picnik today to frame my collages, it is great. I don't use photoscape so much now or Virtual Painted Classic, just a little touch up maybe needed in my photographs but otherwise I post them as I took them.

The colour of the wool and the pink sky is marvellous.

Have a wonderful weekend, love Jackie.

It did very well. What do you think? I love Photoscape and can't imagine what I'd do without it. They should be creating something to be compatible with Mac. Love your grandmother's linens...very sweet.

Your photos are all so lovely, please be careful in the moving process! I'm starting to wonder what to do with all of my picture files? They are all in picasa on my computer taking up space. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Have a great weekend!

Hi Carol. I love what you did with the wool and the tulips. I heard that Mac has such a wonderful photoprogram. My son uses it and he makes beautiful things. I would love to have one too.

I hope you enjoy the Mac. I have always been a Mac person and I love it. Your photos look beautiful, as usual. I particularly like what you did with that yarn photo.

I love, love that yarn mosaic...strikingly beautiful. Your photos are great --can you transfer them via a thumb drive? I think you will enjoy your mac once you get used to it. That's all I've ever used ...I think the Gardener was given one of the first ones back in grad school many years ago and we've been hooked every since! Have a good weekend!

Hi Carol,

I just switched over to my Mac Book and I'm loving it! Your pictures are beautiful and you will love the ease of taking your Mac along for the ride.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Yikes, Carol....you are a Brave Blogger and Photographer to do a Switch. I'm so comfortable in my HP and Dell world that the thought of changing sends me into a panic.

Love the yarn photo and your Grams Linens. I wanna see more of what was in the trunk! Happy Pink Saturday!!

Thanks for letting us know about the possibility of using Picknic with Picasa. I will look forward to trying it. I love my Mac. It's so much better than a PC though we have both here. Have fun with it!

It will be interesting to learn with you as you change to your Mac. I would certainly panic if I was unable to use Live Writer :(

I love Picnik and edit there all the time. I want a Mac and will get one when this little pc expires but I dread change. I love the yarn images.

Luscious photos & manipulations, Carol! I adore the shot of the yarn & also getting a peek at your Gram's embroidery (hand done, I'm sure!)

I hate to switch between my laptop (Windows7) and my desktop (Windows ??? can't remember!) so I can imagine what you're dealing with the MAC. Good Luck!

Carol, your photos are great! Love the colors in the yarn. I hope you like using your Mac and I'm looking forward to your opinion of it. We have a Mac but I stick with my Dell laptop for my blog. There are several things I like about both and wish they could be combined in one. Good luck!

Hi Carol, I am having some "Me" time reading blogs and catching up with my friends. I enjoyed the last two blog post. The flowers were so beautiful. I love gran's linens, but then I am very partial to all hand embroidery. Have a great day. Your Missouri Friend.

Hi Carol, I have changed from a Windows PC to a Mac for my photography work. I have not been able to successfully download Photoscape to the Mac, there is a version for Mac but it will not load. It is a hugh learning curve, having been a PC gal for many years. Still learning, good luck with yours. Take care, Jen.
