Almost time....

We live in two places. In the summer months, we are in Maine - a place dear to my heart. The rest of the year we live in Florida - another place dear to my heart. Florida is my home and houses all my "stuff". Maine is where I live more simply but I still need "stuff".  So as we get ready, I am surrounded by boxes. We fly so we ship. Each year we try to limit the number of boxes but.....

This year has been a good year. I have made many changes and accomplished many of the projects that have been cluttering my life. I have organized (needs to be done again). However, the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train. The new hip has had a lot to do with this as being pain free and mobile certainly are attitude enhancers.

Blogging has gone pretty well too. I have 209 followers and will soon celebrate 2 years of blogging. The Mac and I getting along quite well these days and will spend the summer in Maine where we will share more quality time together.

I miss many of the Windows programs that I used in my blog but I hope to take an e-course in Photoshop this summer.

Have a wonderful day. The world is still here. And the boxes are calling my name.

Hi Carol, first picture is missing. I have had a lot of problems recently with my photographs I am sure it must be a blogger problem.

It is great that your hip operation was so successful and helped your mobility. I am hoping that losing weight will help mine, you don't have that problem as you are slim.

I know you love the cabin and you can really relax there, I am very envious!

I look forward to seeing lots more of your wonderful photographs when you are at the cabin, in such great surroundings.

Take care my dear friend, Jackie in Surrey, UK.x

I have been to Maine twice in the summer...once for our honeymoon, 41 years ago, and once two years ago. It is stunningly beautiful! Have fun!

I hope (for all our sakes) that your summer in Maine is wonderful. (It's not looking too great just now. This is the ninth day of rain. We've seen the sun for about three seconds in all that time.)

You really have been making a lot of changes, Carol. I'm so glad that you are feeling better and I'm also happy that you and the new computer are making like friends. ☺

Hi Carol,
Gorgeous pix as always, looks like you & Mac are becoming good friends.
Still enjoying using my lovely mug mat which you made for me, for my tea & coffee breaks, although right now it has a large G&T on it!
Have a great trip back to Maine, you know how much I envy you the coming summer months, and how much I enjoy your posts from the lake.

Hi Carol, here to catch up. You have posted some lovely photos recently.I think it must be fun to move for the weather and get a chance to enjoy to different lifestyles but appreciate how difficult it must be. I have just realised you are another avid reader, not sure if you have noticed I write a Book Review Blog as well as News From Italy in which you might be interested :)

I have to say this year has flown for it feels like you just got back from Maine! You will welcome the cooler weather I'm sure. So glad your Mac is working out for you. I'll be interested to hear how you like the Photo shop class... I keep trying it on my own and it doesn't go too well.

Your photos are lovely as usual. I hope you enjoy the book!

Hello Carol, you're doing so well at your photography and all the new tricks you're learning with editing the images. You are more adventurous than I. So, I guess we'll soon be cross border neighbours. I didn't follow your blog when you lived there last year so I look forward to seeing your pictures of your other home. I'm glad your hip is doing so well. Take care. Pamela in N.B.

Bless you, dear Carol, and your blog! You have been a great inspiration to me since the beginning of my blog! I got a taste of the two homes lifestyle this winter, it was clearly not for me so I send you lots of good energy to endure another move. I know what you mean about needing your stuff!! Take care of yourself and don't over do it! I look forward to hearing more about your e-course as that is something I also would love to do! You are one of those gals that lives life with meaning and curiosity and loves to share it all. That's why I love stopping by your blog!
