A Valentine for Charlie.....

As many of my followers know, I have been going through boxes and boxes of "stuff". It took me a long time to have the energy and will to do so. I have found some real treasures including this Valentine sent to my father in 1921. He was born in 1916. He died in 2001. I miss him. I was thrilled to find this in one of the boxes.
I will keep it displayed through Valentine's Day and then put away for another year.

He was a cutie as you can see.

I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday's Valentine celebration.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Don't you love it? That old stuff. You appreciate it like I do. I am in the midst of doing the same thing...and in high gear as some archives are visiting me next week and I probably have some things for them. I just love the old pictures-- such detail Like your dad's scarf or tie --- his bowl cut-- and look at the worn desk with the glass ring!

Carol, What a wonderful treasure you found! My dad also died in 2001 and it is still like it was yesterday - I miss him so much. I found a card from him recently as I was going through old papers and it was such a fabulous surprise to see his handwriting again.! Happy Pink Saturday! ~Marti

I see your features in your Daddy's face, Carol! He IS a cutie & so are you! Such sweet smiles...both of you!
That is truly a treasure & I think you should put it away in an envelope with an explanation as to who it is & the details of it, so the next generation or two will know. I can't tell you how many old photos we have that NOBODY knows who they are!!!
