Tablescape for Mother’s Day

I am a week behind! At least a week behind actually. So here is my Mother’s Day table the week after.

It was a very good day. Jack and I cooked the meal together. All the recipes are from Ina Garten’s books. Tomato and Feta salad, Scallops au gratin, fresh steamed asparagus, and crusty bread for dinner and then Coeur a la crème with raspberry sauce for dessert.

Table cloth and place mats from WS. Napkins from Pottery Barn (they have a wonderful selection of colors). Centerpiece from Fresh Market. Plates from Williams Sonoma (gold and white) and butterfly plates from Pottery Barn. Cafe flatware and wine glasses from WS many years ago. Napkin rings with “bling” from Pottery. Bowl for flowers vintage Fenton.

Looks like you had a wonderful Mother's Day, Carol! Those butterfly plates are really wonderful. I like the graphics. I did a table with some lobster salad plates. Made me think of you and Maine! :-)

Hi Carol....I shouldn't be here at this time of day when I'm sooooo hungry. Everything looks yummy and so well presented....as in good enough to eat! To answer your question about what program I'm using to frame my photos...it's Paint...yep good ole Paint that comes with everyones PC. I do have Windows 7 which has several new handy tools than XP or even Vista. I also do some editing and messing around with photos in Print Shop....I've still to get past OPEN in Adobe Photo Shop. Usually I find the KISS method works best for me....KeepItSimpleSue!! LOL!!! Thanks for stopping by....Sue

Hi Carol, it's after 7:30 here and I haven't had supper yet -- no fair! Scallops? Oh wow, one of my very favorite seafoods. It looks fantastic!

I really love that cafe flatware too, and the "bling" napkin rings. What fun!

I haven't been to a W/S in decades, and never to a P/B -- I think I need to remedy this.

Looks like you had a wonderful Mother's Day. A beautiful table and yummy food cooked with your sweetie. What could be better?

The question I'm always asked is "Where do you keep it all?" So I'm having a party to let all of us share where we do keep it all. Come join the party on June 2, 2010.

Carol, beautiful table...the butterfly salad plates are really pretty, with that little wisp of aqua in the wings. The food is making me very hungry...raspberries are my favorite berry and it will be a couple months before they are ready to pick!
