Before I forget....

I just want you to know that Blogger's spam detection works! I have had some issues with Blogger since changing from Windows to a Mac but slowly but surely they are being resolved. Owner/operator error has also played a part in the mess I had to deal with in the last couple of weeks!

One of the changes I made in the comments section was to get an email notice when someone posted a comment on my blog. Very nice. Before that I was compulsively checking my blog very frequently. This also enables me to email back if someone has a question. Very efficient.

So imagine my surprise when I received emails from some shady lady escort services in London with pictures!!!! I went quickly to my blog and no questionable comments were posted thank goodness. However, Blogger's spam detection had stopped 21 spam comments. Thank you Blogger.

I have a new filter for my camera by Digital Concepts. There are 4 filters which magnify in different strengths. The rose is magnified 10 times as is the silk poppy below.

These were not expensive. I ordered them on Amazon.

We had dinner with friends and here is a collage. I will post more pictures later this week.

Have a great week!

Hi Carol, I too am glad that there is a spam filter on the comments now I am word verification free. I have had a couple that have less than pleasant that have gone in the spam filter and not visible by other readers of my blog!!

Lovely rose collage and look forward to seeing more pictures later in the week.

We have visitors tonight , I must remember to take a couple of photographs of the table, it will be high tea with an Easter theme.

Have a good week, Jackie.x

Yep... the spam detector catches a few a week for me too... can't say I have ever gotten a lot of spam on my blog, but even one is annoying as I don't like my readers to have to see that junk.

Love the strawberry and kiwi shot. For some reason it just seemed like a very cute relationship they have... LOL

Carol: Thanks for the information. I've looked all over my blog and can't find where to check what's in "spam". Where do I look?

I am going to look at those filters you have for the camera because I like what they do.

Best,
Bonnie

Yes, I'm always surprised when a blogger says that she is still having trouble with spam because this new system is really working. Yes, we may get notified as you did, but it's no reason to slap on those multiple checks. Oops, I'm about to be guilty of venting in your blog. Stopping now. You are so good at pressing on to new things with the filters. I'm stuck in my comfort zone.

I am grateful for the spam catcher too. It's amazing the weird stuff out there and how it filters down to us. Your pictures are beautiful, I need to get cracking on learning more about my new camera. Thanks for sharing.

I had a few nasty spam comments before, so now I turn on comment monitor, since I'm always late checking in..

Beautiful photos..

I get my comments in email form, too. I've been doing that since I started the blog and it is really a time saver. Plus, like you, I can respond to the email directly. All good!

I have always had the comments emailed, and sometimes they let some spam on, but NOT anymore. I get the email, but it goes into the spam comments and never makes it to the blog. I am very happy, and I wish people would give it a try and remove that word id thing. They can always put it back!
Have a very Happy Easter, Carol!

Love the images - your new filters are wonderful. I have noticed Blogger's spam protection works, too ~ thank goodness considering some of those comments! Yeesh. :) I had to stop by and tell you that the prints I ordered for my shop came in this afternoon and they are beautiful. I was so happy/relieved I can't tell you! I had them printed on metallic paper to best reflect the light in this particular batch and that really worked incredibly well. One more thing to cross off the list. :)

The roses are beautiful and I like what you brought to your collage from your dinner with friends. Yes that blogger spam thing is great; kind of takes care of the need for comment moderation.

Lovely photos & I, too, admire you for stretching out of your comfort zone. I still need to read the book on my new camera. ~~insert rolled eyes~~
