Well, I am still in the learning curve with the Mac. Pictures do not seem to load as fast and I am really not sure where to get them on the Mac. But I am determined even though the little Dell keeps saying, "I can do it, I can do it!"
I find the spacing difficult to control on blogger but I have heard others make the same comment.
I played around a bit with Picnik. So here are my efforts for today. The first photo was altered in Photoshop somehow. I am going to have to bite the bullet and take an e-course this summer. The photo above was done on Picnik. The background is a photograph of an American Brilliant cut glass bowl that Jack bought recently. The collage below is composed of photographs of the motifs in this bowl with a texture.
I am taking a break from the blog parties for a little while. I am going to concentrate on commenting on those who follow me and leave comments for me.
Have a wonderful week!

Your photo "art" is great! I bet you would enjoy that photoshop course. I need to work on that more--I've barely explored it. I have it with Indesign which I use all the time with my work. I store my photos on the iphoto which comes on your mac, and bring them in a smaller size to the desktop to load for blogs, then toss them. Eventually I store them on cds I burn, but I know that might not last forever. I hear you are having great weather (from my sister)--enjoy!
Since I never did photos on my Dell, I only know (sort of) the program with the Mac. It seems quite easy. I just download from the camera, select what photos I'm going to use on a particular blog entry and move them to my desktop. They are slow to down load onto the blog. Maybe because of the resolution? I really need to clear my real desktop and get down to the business of finding out more about the photo use. I'm not sure what you mean by the "spacing". Your photos are excellent so hope you find a smooth way to get them out for all to view.
Best,
Bonnie
No Mosaic Monday with such neat examples of your work? I am always intrigued by those who keep stepping a little further out. Not I! I'm happy in my little rut. :D
Hi Carol, You have hidden talent, these look wonderful. I still do not understand all about the Mac. But I have started to store some of my pictures on the desktop instead of iPhoto, they are easier find. I have an older Mac, not a fancy new one, so I have to upgrade some of the programs myself, like the iPhoto. Also installed Photoshop Elements 9. Take care and happy blogging.
Sometimes I get my best collages when I play around with Picasa & Photoscape, trouble is I usually can't remember what I did when I want to recreate the effect next time!
Your images are wonderful, especially liked the first one.
Hi Carol
Sorry I am a bit late we have been in London since early this morning ( see post tomorrow).I particularly love the first picture but your photo's are always wonderful!!
Your friend in UK, Jackie.x
Hi Carol, I am visiting here as recommended by Jackie in Surrey ;-)
You have a lovely blog and I am enjoying what I see. I love your beautiful doll and the sweet clothes your Gram made for her. I also play with Picassa and Picknic on a PC. I live in New Brunswick, Canada and hope you'll pop on over for a visit to my blog when you get a chance. I'm your newest follower. Have a lovely day. Blessings, Pamela
Very pretty! I probably loaded over 100 photos on my Dell yesterday!

The cut glass background works wonderfully. I tried going form Picasa to Picnik and found it took a long time to alter one picture. Sometimes I try things with great success and other times things just don't work out. Good luck with your experiments Carol!
Poor little Dell...she served you well! Let me know how you like your Mac....little daughter asked for one for HS graduation!
Your photo's came out great, I really enjoyed them! We are slowly switching over to Mac's. The kids both have them and love them. We're next.
Can't you keep them in iPhoto? That's what I do. Sometmes I upload them to my desktop and sort them in specific folders. Then I can just click on the file folder and access those photos.

I like your determination. My son says get an Apple, but I am afraid I will get frustrated with it! No one nearby to give me guidance!
Love your photo's!
I love your photos and the creative ways you have worked on them.
Sweet post about your doll and the clothing your grand mother made. Wendy Ann is beautiful!
I admire your courage in going from Dell to Mac. I'm just not willing to make that change, even though my kids say Mac is so much better! I'm still an old dog and new tricks are too hard for me to grasp, I guess. Love your first image. I am still wanting to get a newer version of Photoshop. I've been trying to learn on an ancient copy somebody gave me and seems impossible! You are so creative, I'm sure it will all come to you and you will pass on your inspirational images for all of us to drool over!
An e course should be fun, Carol. Your photo effects are beautiful...Christine
I think you are doing very well from the look of your blog, I an hopeless when it comes to all the technical stuff connected with blogging!
