When enough is enough....

Moi? I find myself wondering if I am going too far with some of the photography. As we made our bean soup last week, I kept saying to Jack, "Wait a minute while I take a picture!". Then I have to put my glasses on and see if it turned out. When we go to a restaurant I make everyone wait while I take pictures of all the orders. If I came to your house, I would probably take pictures of your table. I would also take pictures of your kitchen and all the prep work going on. Do you do this too?

I have a friend in Maine who has commented on some of my tablescapes saying that he would like to see some food on the plates. I laughed and said I either set the table or I cook.

Notice I took a bite out of this breakfast. I forgot about pictures.

Have a great week.

I know - Don sometimes says, "Not everything is a blog post." That's when I know I've crossed the line a little.

I usually don't think about it with food. I guess because I'm not so great in the kitchen.

Guilty! So far, my husband has been patient. He even lets me photograph and blog about the food he prepares.

Best,

Very rarely do I make everyone stop so I can take photos. I am embarrassed to take photos in restaurants so that's out. When I make or bake something very special, it's a given that that will be photographed, but I do not take food pictures so well; not enough practice I guess. I do love it when bloggers take wonderful photos of the food.

On that note, I'm going to take a food picture! You've inspired me.

Haha! I'm doing the same thing too! I think I'm crazy. But, I don't let my husband see me take too many of the pictures - for obvious reasons! I don't even use all the ones I take. I like your food pictures. They always look so yummy.

I do the same thing! Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. People always enjoy the photos after, right?

Carol, I cannot take photos of food very well so I never think of it and I am definitely not a tablescaper but the flowers may very well be tired of me! ♥O

When I met up with Martha from Lines from Linderhof in May our husbands both complained about having to wait to eat so that she & I could take pix for our blogs!
LOL.
Seems we all do it..........

I'm with you on this. Sometimes I need to leave my camera at home and really live the moment rather than photograph it, But then I usually regret not having my camera along as there is always something to see. Yes I photograph other people's tables, kitchens, food, etc. It's rather a nice hobby!

I am the number one "WAIT...don't eat it yet...gotta get a picture."
I have been teased by family, friends and blogger buddies. One tells me I "take a picture of every thing that goes in your mouth." :))
To me, a really good photo of food is one of the hardest things to photograph. When I DO get a good photo of food, I AM PROUD. Silly? I guess so...some love taking pictures of flowers...some, people...I love taking photos of food. :)) Like to eat it, too!..the food...not the picture.:)))
